For the past few years, color trends have developed quite a bit but one thing that’s consistent is that gray has controlled every neutral color palette in the interiors world. Beige, on the other hand, has been nearly forbidden—a dull tone you wouldn’t want to decorate with. Momentarily, beige is the latest revival of décor in 2017, and it’s anything but monotonous.
Beige tones have been earning their way back in our fashion preferences for a while now: camel, cognac, tan, desert sand—all efforts to disguise the point that we’re in fact big supporters of the neutral color already. All these beige spaces are totally devoid of color, save for some shades of beige, cream, and black. Here are a few decorating ideas with the latest color trends that will make you want to give beige a second chance.

Even in an all-white room, some beige accents can cause an area to appear more refined. Here, interior stylist, Minna Jones fixed a wall-mounted beige cabinet, which she emphasized with artwork, a vintage chair, and a fur pillow, all in the same tones.
In this entryway, rich beige-and-black wallpaper establishes the color for the home, that is colored in shades of cream, light woods, and black. The textures in the runner and the woven basket give the room a layered character whereas the wallpaper joins texture. This hallway is evidence that beige is anything but tedious.
