Inspiring Home Design Ideas by Rafael De Cárdenas
D. Manuel CabinetKing Manuel I of Portugal is best known for his support of Portuguese maritime exploration. During his reign, Dom Manuel saw his fleet discover India, Brasil, and reach distant lands such as Greenland and Newfound Land, and solidified trading routs and agreements between Persia, China, Morocco and Portugal. This noble cabinet draws inspirations from his legacy, the Manueline aesthetic and style, and pays a tribute to Portugal’s most influential epochs.

GLEBE PLACE RESIDENCE
We love this dining room for its complete creative environment. It’s like the flours in the center of the beautiful dining table disperse to the entire room. Plus, the transparency of the dining table gives this place an outstanding special touch.
This is a luxury residence and because of that, there are many dining rooms. Among these, there is, of course, a dining area outdoors. We love the choice of white for this summer.
This part of the house is probably not destined to be a dining room, however, we see this room design as the perfect place to have a small cozy summer dinner.
OLYMPIC TOWER RESIDENCE
This residence is in an apartment in Manhattan and its complex simplicity is simply amazing. First of all, the main walls of this dining room are in white marble and what can match it better than a dark shiny dining table?
WOOSTER STREET RESIDENCE
This SoHo loft is a home to the productive New York artist and the owner of an influential Miami fashion store. We love dining rooms mixed with libraries, a perfect intellectual environment that every artist needs.
ASIA DE CUBA
Now we will present you the dining room areas of restaurants created by the interior designer Rafael De Cárdenas. The new Asia de Cuba restaurant inspiration from a classic fixture of the New York dining scene, blending subtle references to ’90s postmodernism and Cuban Art Deco.
The material palette hints at old Havana with its soft pastel hues yet remains sleekly modern in its use of marble, satin mirrors, and dark woods.
Guests enter the restaurant through a narrow hallway, passing the dynamism of an open kitchen, and emerge onto a romantically lit dining room.
The design of this restaurant creates intimacy, intrigue, and a nuance through a composition of materials, lighting, and space.
