The fresh and modern restaurant “Shababeek“, in the north of Dubai, blends local influences with, European and Lebanese flavors in a cool and refreshing atmosphere conceived by the interior design studio Pallavi Dean Interiors.

The main purpose of the owner of Shababeek was to support the local talents designing a place with international interest. The Pallavi Dean Interiors team from Dubai took care of the remodeling. “We wanted that these 550 square meters offer diners an unforgettable experience through design,” explain the designers, who worked closely with Lebanese chef Maroun Chedid.
A creative story that was developed around the fusion concept, reflecting the combination of architectural styles that have existed in Lebanon for centuries. This range of eclectic design influences is reflected with hints of Mediterranean cuisine, French fashion or Islamic design elements.
The concepts for restaurant design and food were conceived at the same time. The visual identity of the new restaurant was developed by Two Thirds, who sought to create visual coherence between menus, uniforms, tableware, tropical fabric, and modern furniture.
An olive tree welcomes you in the eclectic restaurant, a tribute to a natural product that is the basis of Lebanese food. Above the tree, a wallpaper, designed by Pallavi Dean, with bird and plant motifs adorns the ceiling. This series of digital collages was created by the art collective The Attic.
The theme of the birds continues with the Flamingo lamps from Vibia and Perch from Moooi. The interior designers went for European brands for the design furniture in the main room, which is combined with made to measure pieces by local artisans, such as benches and tables.
