Power to the people! That seems to be the motto to this sculptures/installations. It’s a giant transmission tower people with 15-55 meters (49 – 180 ft) high and it’s a Choi + Shine Architects’ work. This is an original and design way oh having something that is needed without ruin the architectural landscape.
The sentiment and idea of American design firm Choi+Shine Architects was to turn electricity poles into artistic items. They also competed with this concept in Iceland’s ‘High-Voltage Electrical Pylon International Design Competition”.
The concept, named ‘The Land of Giants‘, was sought to this contemporary artists to transform mundane transmission towers into modern sculptures on the Icelandic landscape by making only small alterations to existing pylon design.
