Elie Tahari has been inspired by era’s dazzling discos and, this summer, he has fallen head over heels for Tom Dixon’s brassy barware and showstopping pendant lights, opting to pep up his East Hampton shop with some of the British designer’s dazzling decorations.
Tahari’s breezy summer whites take on a look of 1970s glam surrounded by Dixon’s copper-legged breakfast table, hammered-metal bowls, and blown-glass decanters any of which would make a perfect addition to an evening cocktail party or an easy last-minute hostess gift. “It’s in the spirit of the Hamptons,” Tahari says of Dixon’s style. “It’s modern, sophisticated, very ’70s,”
