GAUDÍ by IVANKA is a floor and wall covering designed by the famous Catalan architect, Antoni Gaudí, developed by the contemporary artist IVANKA and produced from high performance IVANKA concrete with a well-mastered technology. It was considered one of the best products of Milan Design Week 2015, that happened between the 14 and 19 of April.
Some of the chosen ones will be still running during Expo Milano 2015, the International Exhibition that will be hosted in Italy’s design and commerce capital from May 1 to October 31, 2015. That will be exposed the best and most innovative design products of this event.
For the second year in a row, the usual design districts (Tortona, Lambrate, Brera and the sprawling RHO Fiera with its endless halls of Salone Internazionale del Mobile) were joined by the new 5VIE district, with paths that incorporated beautiful shops, archaeological finds and courtyards in historical buildings and the ‘Exercises in seating’ exhibition dedicated to the work of the British designer/sculptor Max Lamb organised by Federica Sala.
Gaudí’s visual appearance reflects the individualized and distinctive style of Gaudí’s Catalan modernism.
By high quality production IVANKA applies both the traditional characteristics of the concrete material and the features of Gaudí’s organic architecture on its tiles with three different thicknesses and many available colors.
High performance concrete – reinforced with high density fiber, surface protected for water and stain resistance. The concrete produced by IVANKA is an extremely persistent and resistant material, suitable for indoors and outdoors, domestic and public use. The aging of the concrete product you purchase is a natural and aesthetically pleasing characteristic that influences its appearance in a graceful compass.
