For the fifth year, architecture and design festival – Archtober – returns to New York City. With more than 200 events taking place, this event aims to explore the impact of urban planning, architecture and interior design in the city.
At the festival, there’s several events taking place throughout October, including lectures, behind-the-scenes tours, film screenings, and exhibitions. This year’s lineup has special focus on landscape urbanism and the history of modernism.
This year’s festival also marks the debut of Archtober Hall in the South Street Seaport district of Manhattan. The space not only provides a staging location for meet-ups and partner events during the month but also holds the Center for Architecture’s pop-up exhibition “Sea Level: Five Boroughs at Water’s Edge”.
