Frank Gehry is, unquestionably, one of the most important and renowned architects of our time. He has been responsible for some of the most prominent, striking and beautiful buildings ever built. The outstanding and very very talented architect has designed mainly in the United States and Europe.
Frank Gehry’s designs have a very distinctive style and lines. He uses bold shapes and materials to imagine unbelievable buildings like the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and the Wall Disney concert Hall in Los Angeles. These are just 2 of the masterpieces created by the American architect.


Later this year, more specifically in October, the world is going to see another fantastic architectural project that shows Frank Gehry’s quest for innovation: The Fondation Louis Vuitton!

The globally known fashion brand Louis Vuitton chose Frank Gehry to design their new art and cultural center in Paris. The Fondation Louis Vuitton has the mission to encourage, show and promote the works of contemporary artists from all over the world.

The building that is located at the Jardin d’Acclimatation, will have eleven exhibition galleries and a 330 seat auditorium that will be used for events and performances. The terrace offers extremely pleasant views of the city of lights.

Bernard Arnault, the creator of the project, says that ” We wanted to preset Paris with an extraordinary place for art and culture, and demonstrate daring and emotion by entrusting Frank Gehry with the construction of a building that is emblematic of the 21st century”
For Frank Gehry the building is a realization of a dream. He always wanted to design in Paris ” a magnificent vessel symbolizing the cultural calling of France”.
The Fondation Louis Vuitton will open its doors to the public on Monday 27 October 2014. You must visit it as soon as you can!
