Porto Wine for your summer
Keeping up with the growing trend of mixology with Porto Wine and the demand for drinks alternatives to the most consumed mixers, the iconic brand Sandeman has just launched Sandeman Beat, a range consisting of a White Porto, a Rosé Porto in a bottle and the Portonic – ready-to-drink – canned version.
With a fresh and aromatic profile, with less alcohol and sugar than usual in the Porto Wine, the new wines are ideal for celebrating life’s best moments on any occasion, combining perfectly in any cocktail or simply served with ice and tonic water. Emerging as a differentiating Porto Wine that wants to challenge tradition, Beat intends to attract new and younger consumers.
Inspired by the cultural and irreverent American movement of the 50s with the same name, as well as the real meaning of the word, “Beat” is associated with rhythm, movement, music and heartbeat features in all forms of life. Thus, Sandeman Beat seeks to challenge the status quo and invite everyone to reinvent the way they experience Porto Wine side by side with the rhythm of music, joy, friendship and the pleasure of freedom.
This launch of Sandeman also reinforces the brand’s close relationship with the arts and with the promotion of Portuguese talent at an international level, through a bottle produced made from 360º printed glass with illustrations by the artist Pedro Lourenço. Inspired by the “Beat” concept, elements that refer to life in the Douro are part of it, from fauna to flora, inviting consumers to enjoy the brightness and rhythm of the region, populated by sounds that are represented by musical instruments incorporated in illustrated nature.

Sandeman Beat‘s packaging with a colourful, modern and daring design, reflects the brand’s commitment to sustainability by including a bartop made from cork and polymers 100% recyclable and biodegradable, as well as providing the possibility to reuse the bottle for other purposes once the wine is finished.
Sandeman Beat is about to start the phase of distribution in Europe and Canada. In Portugal, it’s available at Caves Sandeman and shops at Lisbon and Porto airports.
For Boca do Lobo it was such a pleasure to experience Salone del Mobile alongside Sandeman Beat!
