New York and Paris unite in this interior design project. The French style and the urban design of the Big Apple come together to create an unrivaled design inspiration. From furnishings to décor, Neal’s concept is beautifully achieved. Custom pieces such as the Empire-style chandelier that hangs above the dining table and the embroidered Louis XVI fauteuils in the library add to character to this French inspired luxury apartment.
Neal Beckstedt, a lover of craftsmanship himself, tries to include custom furniture pieces in his interior design projects. The designer chose carefully inspiring pieces, such as tulip-like armchair by India Mahdavi beautifully placed in the master bedroom, infusing contemporary design with bold shapes and soft colors. One can really see that in the angular living room where a Vladimir Kagan’s sinuous Serpentine sofa creates movement and softness, pleasantly transforms the geometry of the space.
