Boca do Lobo Blog always searches far and wide for the best design inspirations for its avid viewers, and many times, said inspirations come from every corner of the design world. This Hamptons Home, for example, is brought to us by the iconic Elle Decor, and features contemporary art, as its main inspiration.
Architect Javier Robles helps renovate an East Hampton home for a pair of art collectors. A photography portfolio by David Benjamin Sherry for ELLE Decor that we are about to take over and show everything inside of this home design featuring the best contemporary art.
After the purchasing this amazing Hamptons Home in 2004, that overlooks an incredible bay, in 2016, a couple was ready to make this high-end fishermen’s cottage into the house of their dreams and that is when the entire renovation started.
They had a clear idea of what the house would look like and of the contemporary art they wanted inside of it, with a very imposing, but at the same time subtle, modern design. They were also clear on what the home design should look like, and they hired the Peruvian architect Javier Robles to bring their vision to reality.
Of course, there had to be enough space to display a significant portion of their contemporary art collection, including works by Lucy Dodd, Egan Frantz, and Richard Aldrich.
In designing the space, they wanted to highlight the furniture and lighting they had curated over the years, hence the greatness of their modern art – everything was thought of. With their architect, they discussed every detail they had been mulling, from how to incorporate natural light in the house to ceiling heights and interior illumination.
