Luxury Hotels Designs by Gilles & Boissier

Patrick Gilles and Dorothée Boissier are opposites that attract. Joyfully engaged in constant, creative disagreement, they find inspiration: more, it’s precisely this ceaseless game of verbal and mental ping-pong that gives form to their ideas. Partners in life and in design, each one has a specific role and style, but together they form a unified whole as Gilles & Boissier, designing some of the best luxury hotels of the world.

If strict lines and a distinctive taste for fine woods can be attributed to Patrick Gilles, Dorothée, on her end, has a way with spatial fluidity, colors, and intuitive elegance. It is this distinctive approach that has paved their road to success, with commissions all over the world.

Since 2004, they have designed a variety of design projects from residential to hospitality projects, luxury hotels, and lifestyle restaurants. Yet, it is the constant refinement of their clients that has pushed them into designing wild Moncler stores for Remo Ruffini, along with site his latest residence on Lake Como, Italy. Presently working on some of the best hotels in the world like Ritz Carlton in New York or Mandarin OrientalGilles & Boissier thrive in translating local cultures.

The Chess Hotel – Paris

Beautifully colored clay, mustard hues and three shades of blue. The Chess Hotel offers a distinct and original color scheme. It changes subtly from one element to another and forms the setting for furniture of exceptional design quality.

The furniture designs originating from the Gilles and Boissier collection naturally occupy a prominent place. Within the guest rooms can be found some of their most inspired creations; suspensions, chairs … and even four-poster beds in some of our Deluxe accommodation.

The luxury hotel also has outstanding ornamental details. Thus, the checkerboard design that adorns the lobby floor and reflects the name of the establishment is mirrored in miniature upon the walls of the bathrooms.

On the doors of these, we find the graphic designs of the artist Cyprien Chabert, who also created the monumental mural that runs from the second floor to the roof of the hotel. Even then, art lovers will not have finished marveling, as a detour to the lobby will demonstrate.
