Best Events at London Fashion Week 2015

We’re getting closer to London Fashion Week 2015, where the best of fashion and trends is presented by top fashion designers across the world. Although some of the stylish events aren’t opened to the public – unless you’re Kate Moss – there’s still lots of them on the LFW agenda. Here’s a selection of some events which are expected to be opened all this September and that will keep you up to date about the best of fashion for the upcoming season.

With London Fashion Week setting up shop in Brewer Street Car Park for SS16, Soho will be all-abuzz with the pitter-patter of statement shoes. Just a stone’s throw away on Carnaby Street, you’ll be able to catch the catwalk action from the likes of Sibling, Peter Pilotto and Gareth Pugh unfold live on a ginormous outdoor screen. There’s also a clutch of promotions running in store.

Swanky Mayfair dining spot Sketch has teamed up with equally swish salon FOUR London to keep fashionistas’ flowing manes in check. Whether you rock a sleek Wintour bob or sport dishevelled, Roitfeld-esque lengths, there’s plenty to choose from, as FOUR’s stylists will be dispensing braids, waves and ponytails in 30 minute styling slots.

Digital Disturbances, the latest exhibition to hit London College of Fashion’s Fashion Space Gallery, explores how digital concepts and tools have influenced all facets of the fashion industry, from how are clothes are produced and distributed to how they are analysed and discussed (7)

The exhibits – which include both recent work and new commissions – raise provoking questions about the potential, limitations and desirability of integrating digital phenomena into material products, and explore how information can be lost or distorted as it makes the jump from material to virtual world.

The hair-styling geniuses at GHD host a pop-up S&M themed hair studio in their Dean Street event space. Sleek and Movement are the two themed menus from which you can choose a glamorous new look.

More than a hundred of Carnaby’s shops, restaurants and bars team up for an evening of fashion and free stuff. New to the event for this season is a series of trend talks headed up by Carnaby’s Style Panel, featuring LFW designer Richard Nicoll, OTHER co-founder Matthew Murphy, Ben Sherman CEO Mark Maidment and Pretty Green’s design director Pat Salter. The Panel will be chatting through trends for the coming season and sharing an edit of pieces from their latest collections.

The fashion crowd love an excuse to knock back the cocktails. The Riding House Café’s LFW menu offers you four tongue-in-cheek concoctions, each christened after acid-tongued one-liners from the likes of Karl Lagerfeld and Anna Wintour.

Discover the inspiration behind Louis Vuitton’s Autumn/Winter collection at this bold, beautiful and slightly baffling ‘experimental’ exhibition. The venerable fashion house will be taking over 13 rooms and three floors of Brutalist concrete space 180 Strand, and visitors can witness every stage of artistic director Nicolas Ghesquiere’s creative process – from first inspiration to catwalk show.

Four days of catwalks, trend-talks and style-spotting. London Fashion Weekend offers you an insider’s perspective on the fashion industry, with trend-led catwalks from big name designers (the line-up for this season’s show schedule includes House of Holland and Peter Pilotto) and talks from fashion hotshots like Net-a-Porter founder Natalie Massenet, suber-cool knitwear designer Bella Freud and London’s queen of print, Mary Katrantzou. There’s also the opportunity for some serious shopping, which includes a carefully curated edit of pieces from big names and rising stars, all at discounted rates.
