Kate Moss First Crown Auctioned by Christie’s

Kate Moss is considered the queen of fashion models but before that, she wore a very peculiar crown. This felt crown featured in a photo shoot organized by fashion photographers Claire Hall and Kate Garner in 1989 to promote projects they were both working on. This September, the crown Kate Moss wore before she was a queen, will be auctioned by Christie’s in “Out of Ordinary” category. kate-moss-first-crown-auctioned-by-christies (2)

The felt crown used on the shoot had been given directly by leading British milliner Stephen Jones to the stylist Claire Hall who used it as an accessory for the photo shoot. i-D magazine commissioned the photographs after the shoot for use in their May 1989 issue based on the reputation of the fashion photographer Kate Garner.
