From Russia with love, Boca do Lobo<\/a><\/strong> has today the pleasure to bring you an exclusive interview<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0with one of the best interior designers\u00a0with whom we\u2019ve been working \u2013 Anastasia Dolgina<\/a> <\/em>from\u00a0A&D Interiors Design Studio<\/a><\/em><\/strong>. According to Anastasia, style is the language spoken by the designer and we can clearly identify her Russian origins through some of her luxury interior design projects, where\u00a0classic meets contemporary design.\u00a0\"Boca<\/a><\/p>\n

Graduated by the\u00a0British Higher School of Design, Anastasia counts with ten years of experience in the field, dozens of completed projects and several collaborations with renowned designers and architects all over the world. Her work focuses mainly on residential interiors and embodies different styles.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cThe designer is, first of all, the creator and artist. He sees a perspective that was not even implemented on paper. \u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Being in love with our work is always the key to achieve better results. Are you in love with your job? What do you love the most about being an interior designer?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Being an interiors designer is more like being a creator. I like the process of creating new interiors, new atmosphere. It\u2019s about searching and finding the forms, shapes and colors.\u00a0What do I really like about my work \u2013 is constant development.\"A&D<\/a><\/p>\n

Do you have a favorite project or a favorite story behind one of your projects?<\/strong><\/p>\n

How important is a good chemistry between you and your clients to achieve better results?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The chemistry between a designer and a client is of great importance. It\u2019s impossible to create something without this chemistry, understanding and points of contact.\"Koket<\/a><\/p>\n

In your oppinion,\u00a0working with teams in interior design is better or worse than working alone? Why?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I think it\u2019s not always obligatory to work with teams, but colleagues\u2019 opinions are surely welcome. Other people have their own vision; it can be very helpful, of course.\"A&D<\/a><\/p>\n

To conquer such a demanding audience, is truly important to be informed about the latest trends on the field. How do you do this?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s highly important to visit international fairs (Maison&Objet, Salone del Mobile, High Point and others). I really enjoy reading interiors journals, books, meet famous architects, designers and share experience and knowledge with them.\"A&D<\/a><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

How would you describe your style? Do you have any personal \u201csignature\u201d?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I consider trying to replicate somebody\u2019s style to be simply boring. In my opinion, every designer should have his or her own zest or \u201csignature\u201d. \u00a0Personally I like American style and what\u2019s very trendy today \u2013 eclectic style that is considered to be the most difficult one.\"A&D<\/a><\/p>\n

All artist have some kind of inspirations, and interior designers are no exception. So, what or who really inspires you?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Modern art is a huge inspiration source for me. I think every artist can find something eye-catching that is able to nourish his inspiration. First of all it\u2019s art and nature.\"A&D<\/a><\/p>\n

If you had to pick one project around the world that you wish it had been made it by you, which would it be?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A project around the world? It will be certainly an apartment in the center of Paris.\"A&D<\/a><\/p>\n

Choosing the right piece for a design set might seem an easy task. However, it takes a lot of time and attention to find the perfect match. Which advices you have for those who do not know how to start a challenge like this?<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are no general rules of making the project work. You can\u2019t decorate in accordance with some certain rules. Always try to make something different, something special. If the project is too classical, for example, or to simple \u2013\u00a0you can change the atmosphere by adding some details: accessories, paintings, etc. I remember one project where the interior design was kind of strict and we should had followed the chosen path, but I decided to insert a special piece.\u00a0It was just one sideboard that totally changed the atmosphere \u2013 Heritage Sideboard by Boco da Lobo<\/a><\/strong>. Creative and unique!<\/p>\n

Which are your favorite brands, those that can never be missing in your projects?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I really like KOKET<\/a><\/strong>. For my current project I chose Nymph<\/a> <\/strong>and Eternity<\/a> <\/strong>chandeliers. They look gorgeous! I am sure the result will satisfy the client and be of great delight for me as well.\"Koket<\/a><\/p>\n
