Many years ago, I was a young and ambitious designer getting ready to make\u00a0a presentation for a huge entertainment complex with three hotels. \u00a0Boldly and perhaps somewhat foolishly, I announced to the\u00a0investor: \u201cWe are architects. How do you feel being someone\u2019s idol?<br>\nJoi-Design: I certainly admire some architects and designers more than others, but I would never describe anyone as my idol\u00a0for the same reason I never want to be anyone\u2019s idol: I strongly\u00a0believe everyone should follow their own path. Some structural items may only be able to be produced\u00a0via 3D printing, whilst others need to be crafted by hand, or they\u00a0call for a combination of both techniques.
