\n\n<\/div>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\nWhen it came time to decorate<\/strong> her house, Gomez knew Kelly Wearstler<\/strong><\/em> could extract the couple\u2019s fun-loving personality into an emotional, family-friendly roof where they could reside, achieve, and receive.\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\u201cThey both love color, and their personalities are so unique,\u201d reveals Kelly Wearstler<\/strong><\/em>, who acted jointly with Gomez on the design<\/strong>. \u201cAnd Lana was pretty much up for anything.\u201d But the residence itself\u2014a Spanish-style bungalow spec home near West Hollywood that the pair picked for its clear design and blank-canvas appeal\u2014lacked pizzazz.\n
\u201cThis is definitely one of my most playful projects.\u201d\u00a0Kelly Wearstler<\/strong><\/em>\n<\/blockquote>\nTo combine a little of architectural subtlety, the top interior designer<\/strong> had\u00a0some skills up her sleeve: The square front opening was reshaped into an artistic arc, the switchback staircase was refashioned and arranged with brass railings, and doorways into the kitchen and dining room<\/strong> were built in Silver Portoro stone.\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nA layer of Cannon\/Bullock wallpaper<\/strong> sheets in a variety of shades was implemented to surfaces everywhere in the house, conceiving the vision of vacancies in the spacious, open interior and giving the entire area a Technicolor brightness.\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nOn the walls, Kelly Wearstler<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0matched Gomez\u2019s own paintings with pieces by Op Art<\/strong> maestro John Townsend and rising San Francisco talent Jonathan Anzalone. Preferably than use Gomez\u2019s works throughout the home, though, Wearstler favorably suggested changing a few of them into painterly carpets.
