And actually, countries such as India, Italy, and of course, Portugal, have been treasuring it. It is an age-old and detailed\u00a0jewelry<\/strong>\u00a0expression in which skilled\u00a0artisans<\/strong>\u00a0painstakingly solder tiny beads and twisted threads to create striking artistic motifs, suggesting often an exquisite and intricate lace-like pattern.<\/p>\n

In the old days there were around 120\u00a0artisans<\/strong>, and in less than ten years there are only 12\u00a0filigree<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>artists in Portugal.
