With its sprawling size, prime location, and stellar views of the city skyline, this penthouse by Design Intervention<\/span><\/em><\/strong>, perched atop the St Regis hotel in Bangkok, already had the qualities of a dream abode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Design Intervention<\/em><\/strong> turned a Bangkok penthouse apartment into a stunning abode tailor-made to its owner\u2019s needs while making the most of its amazing views of the city skyline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was important that he had ample space to entertain his friends,\u201d says Hunt.<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

When this client was seeking a studio to design his new luxury home<\/strong><\/a>, he was determined to find a firm whose approach would match the majesty of the property. His search was thorough indeed: after meeting several top design studios in Thailand, he looked further afield to Singapore where the work of\u00a0award-winning firm Design Intervention<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0caught his eye. He then flew the firm\u2019s founder Nikki Hunt over to Thailand to view the property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI understood what he was hoping for and so he appointed us. The client brief was to have a totally unique and bespoke home. He didn\u2019t want to walk in and see items that he had seen in other homes, so much of what we included was specially designed for him.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\nstates Hunt about this luxury penthouse.<\/em><\/strong><\/cite>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The apartment and its interior design ideas<\/a><\/strong> present inside were originally designed for a family, so Hunt and her team set about redesigning its layout to better suit a bachelor in his thirties. Design Intervention<\/em><\/strong> finally settled on an open-plan layout that would best accommodate the client\u2019s lifestyle and also put the focus squarely on the apartment\u2019s most stunning feature\u2014its views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
