1. Scope

The company BOCA DO LOBO (Part of COVET GROUP holding company) sells products covered by the “BOCA DO LOBO” trademark worldwide;

BOCA DO LOBO also sell products from other companies under the MENINA DESIGN GROUP HOLD and COVET GROUP, such as DELIGHTFULL, BRABBU, KOKET, MAISON VALENTINA, LUXXU, LUXXU HOME, ESSENTIAL HOME, PULLCAST, RUGS’ SOCIETY, with each company’s Terms and Conditions applying to their own items;

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are applicable to all distance sales of BOCA DO LOBO products starting in BOCADOLOBO.com website, including with telephone, email or any other relevant communication and support provided by BOCA DO LOBO sales assistants (customer service)

The use of the distance sales service described herein is reserved solely for customers. The term “Customer” is to be understood as any registered company who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that predominantly are inside his trade, business and profession. The resale, rental or transfer for commercial or professional reasons of products purchased on the Site are allowed;

All purchases made through BOCA DO LOBO’s official agents (listed on BOCADOLOBO.com) have each of their sales Terms and Conditions apply;

BOCA DO LOBO reserves the right of deciding the nature of a legal transaction between BOCA DO LOBO and what is considered an “end customer” (an individual consumer);

BOCA DO LOBO may modify these General Terms and Conditions of Sale at any time. Therefore, the Customer is asked to accept the General Terms and Conditions of Sale in force at the time of purchase, a copy of which will be sent to the Customer to the e-mail address provided by the Customer

It is understood that by placing an order on the BOCADOLOBO.com website, or directly with a Sales Assistant (an official brand employee, with an official BOCA DO LOBO email under the @bocadolobo. com address), the Customer fully and unreservedly acknowledges and accepts these General Terms and Conditions of Sale, which form an integral and substantial part of these recitals;

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale do not govern the provision of services, or the sale of products by subjects other than BOCA DO LOBO, even in cases in which they are presented on the Official Website via links, banners or other hypertext links. Therefore, before placing an order and/ or purchasing products and services from subjects other than the Vendor, the Customer is invited to check the conditions of sale applied. In no case can the Vendor be held liable for the provision of services by third parties;

2. Product Orders

Orders are only accepted once placed by recognized and registered companies with an open account with BOCA DO LOBO;

Orders may be placed in English or in any country’s official language (if applicable) via the BOCA DO LOBO Sales Assistant, Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm CET, excluding public holidays;

The Customer must provide BOCA DO LOBO a valid e-mail address, company name and address, VAT code (to benefit from professional sales conditions), and other relevant information under these General Terms and Conditions of Sale concerning the order;

The Customer is responsible for selecting the articles of interest to him/herself;

A Pro-Forma invoice must be required in all BOCADOLOBO.com purchases meant to be placed with BOCA DO LOBO sales representatives;

BOCA DO LOBO reserves the right of considering the acceptance of an official Pro-Forma invoice as being the document that confirms the Customer’s item selection, including all finishes specified for each item listed;

BOCA DO LOBO reserves the right to consider a Pro-Forma invoice valid for 6 weeks from the day that it is initially sent. In the case of Pro-Forma invoices with shipping quotes, these are considered valid for 2 weeks only. Therefore, the Customer is advised to require separate Pro-Forma invoices, distinguishing product and shipping quotations;

BOCA DO LOBO reserves the right of setting the valid period and price of a custom-made item official quote accordingly;

Although BOCA DO LOBO takes all appropriate measures to ensure the photographs and other relevant information on the site faithfully represent the original products, including technological means to reduce inaccuracies as much as possible, certain variations are possible due the nature of the product, and materials, as well as the manual production methods required. In consequence, BOCA DO LOBO does not fully guarantee a perfectly clear identity of final products in comparison to their graphic representation shown on the website or official marketing material, or identical finishes in two or more pieces manufactured in separate orders - with respect to colouring, and precision detailing of wood carving, ceramics, foundry and other metalwork, for the technical reasons listed above;

When making a purchase, the Customer is entitled to require photographs of his/her ordered pieces, prior to shipment to ensure that pieces are indeed within the expected finish as displayed on the brand website and other official up-to-date marketing material. This request should be added to the order’s Pro-Forma invoice;

Should the Customer need to modify a requested article, its finish or quantity, or correct any errors in the order, specified in the official Pro-Forma invoice, following its corresponding order placement, he/she should follow the instructions suggested by the sales representative. BOCA DO LOBO reserves the right to charge for any alterations made to the order, 5 working days after the its payment confirmation is received;

An official signature and company stamp is required for all technical drawings/schemes associated to any personalized / custom made product;

3. Pricing

All prices are retail prices, and do not include VAT, or any other taxes, duties and related shipping costs. BOCA DO LOBO reserves the right of applying VAT costs in all relevant cases;

The price of each product is displayed in an official and public pricelist, which must be consulted prior to the order. BOCA DO LOBO make regular pricelist updates. Please note that BOCA DO LOBO apply a separate price policy for purchases made from USA accounts;

All item prices include appropriate product packaging;

BOCA DO LOBO reserves the right to change specifications and prices on products offered on BOCADOLOBO.com;

4. Conditions of Payment

A 50% advance payment deposit is required to settle all standard orders. The remaining 50% final balance is required once the order is completed. In the case of orders with personalized or custommade items, an advanced payment with the order’s full value must be made;

The Customer must make each payment via bank transfer as indicated on the order form. The Customer is advised to confirm BOCA DO LOBO’s bank details prior to making any payment, and is also advised to send proof of his/her bank transfer to the designated Sales Assistant;

5. Lead Times

BOCA DO LOBO settles the production lead time in 12 weeks, which is triggered on the date the advanced payment is received. Delivery time is not included;

Lead times for large orders (understood as any order with more than 7 BOCA DO LOBO pieces, or any number of items that may congest manufacturing capacity, or orders over 100 000€ in value), orders with personalized or custom-made pieces, as well as all orders that include safes or products from the Luxury Safes collection, must be agreed upon and accepted in writing;

BOCA DO LOBO provides a lead time estimate with official quotes and pro-forma invoices that include personalized or custom pieces, and establishes a final lead time commitment with each technical drawing to be signed by the Customer;

BOCA DO LOBO offers an Express Order Service, where the order lead time is reduced to a shorter period, agreed between the Customer and the sales representative (following the Customer’s purchase process). This service is applicable to most pieces, but is subject to availability and production capacity. BOCA DO LOBO reserves the right of applying an upcharge for an Express Order Service, upon agreement with the Customer;

For all orders with 1 or more personalized/custom made items, BOCA DO LOBO initiates the order production (and triggering the stipulated lead time), once the technical drawing is signed and sent to the sales assistant;

BOCA DO LOBO reserve the right of applying a storage fee, for all orders that remain in the shipping warehouse for more than 3 weeks since the notification that the final balance is due;

6. Warranty

BOCA DO LOBO shall be liable for material defects in accordance with the applicable legal provision. There is an additional guarantee for the goods supplied by the supplier only if this has been expressly stated in the invoice of the respective article;

All orders with pieces subjected to BOCA DO LOBO product warranty, all claims, and all other complaints are managed by BOCA DO LOBO’s customer service team. In any of the cases stated above, the Customer should contact the Sales Assistant responsible for the order. who will provide him with information regarding after-sales Customer Service, and the designated Customer Service team member;

The Customer is not entitled to any claims for defects if he/she has altered a product or has had it changed by a third party, unless the Customer proves that the material defect already existed at the time of delivery;

Claims for defects as a result of the shipping process handled by the Customer, are not covered under BOCA DO LOBO’s warranty. In these cases, BOCA DO LOBO is committed to finding a suitable solution with the Customer. Claims for defects as a result of the shipping process handled by BOCA DO LOBO are covered in BOCA DO LOBO’s warranty;

In the case of EXW shipping, please note that BOCA DO LOBO is not liable for damage sustained in transit cargo. In the case of DAP/DDU/DAT shipping, please note that before signing the merchandise delivery document, the Customer is required to confirm if the package has any perceptible damages. If damages are perceptible on the package, the Customer should mention “subject to verification” in order to safeguard any eventual damages to the merchandise and file a claim under the insurance policy;

The Customer may claim warranty on defects that result from mishandling in the shipping process, up to 2 working days after receiving an order. As a result, the Customer is advised to check and photograph all pieces ordered, upon their arrival;

BOCA DO LOBO are reserved the right to handle the claim as seen fit, and commit to offering the Customer a solution proposal within 2 working days of the claim registration;

BOCA DO LOBO ensure the repairing or replacement of the components detailed in the claim submission form. All other damages not included in the claim submission will not be covered under BOCA DO LOBO warranty, and may be subjected to an upcharge;

BOCA DO LOBO are reserved the right to refuse any item repairing, pick-up or delivery, from any location other than the original shipping address;

7. Returns and Refunds – Withdrawal

The submission of a withdrawal request must be made by the Customer up to 2 working days of the date of delivery to the Customer or a third party;

To exercise the right of withdrawal, the Customer must contact Customer Service and follow the procedure specified by BOCA DO LOBO sales representatives. BOCA DO LOBO reserve the right of deciding what situations justifies the right of withdrawal of the Customer;

BOCA DO LOBO are reserved the right to refuse the return or refund of any custom-made or personalized item;

BOCA DO LOBO are reserved the right to complete a refund or make an item replacement, only once the original item has been delivered to its designated warehouse and verified for damage. All products must be returned in their original packaging (box, accessories, inserts, protection, leaflets, etc.) and must be accompanied by the purchase invoice;

Damaged goods being returned must be in the condition in which they were received by the Customer. The Customer must not attempt to modify, handle or repair them;

8. Liability

BOCA DO LOBO shall not be liable for any lost profits or savings, loss of reputation or goodwill, indirect or incidental or consequential damages arising out or in connection with the sale of the goods;

BOCA DO LOBO furniture is available through fine retailers of exclusive furniture around the world. Please let us know your location by sending us an email to concierge@bocadolobo.com and we will be glad to provide you information about a retailer near you. If we don’t have a retailer in a desirable location, our sales manager can guide you through the decision making process via telephone or email.

3. What are the benefits of working with Boca do Lobo?

We have emotional and exclusive pieces, handmade with a variety of techniques that can bring an exclusive touch to modern decoration. 4. When will my order ship? When will it arrive?

Your order will be shipped once the production is complete and you have made the full payment. The delivery time depends on the shipping options you choose and on your location.

5. What shipping options do you offer?

If you wish you can schedule the transport from our factory to the desired location. If you prefer we can help you thru the process and find the best available transport option for you. In this case we will be happy to assist you and clarify any question during the transport period. Please make sure that the shipping address is correct, as we're unable to redirect orders once they are on their way to you. Although, if you choose to select the transportation company by yourself we don’t take any responsibility for anything related with this matter.

6. Do you ship overseas?

Boca do Lobo sells its pieces all over the world and we provide help with the transportation. We work closely with our shipping partners to minimize the potential impact of custom delays on our overseas customers.

7. What is the status of my order? How do I track my order?

When you can always check the status of your order by mailing us and we also provide details about updates if necessary.

Special Campaigns
8. Eligilibility

• Subject to these terms and conditions, the Campaign is open to any applicant who is described as follows:
• Registered Interior Designer studios, with proven registered companies worldwide
• Registered furniture showrooms with proven registered companies, worldwide
• Registered furniture pop-up-stores with proven registered companies, worldwide
• All furniture and interior design related registered professionals with proven registered companies

For the purposes of this terms and conditions, all applicants will be referred to as “Customer”

The following persons are not eligible to participate in the Campaign:
a) Any Customer who is not a professional involved in the furniture and interior design business such as the ones mentioned above
b) Any Customer who does not meet the minimum age requirement of eighteen (18) years old

9. Approval of Applications

The Applicants (“Successful Applicants”) are those customers who have an open account with Boca do Lobo For the avoidance of doubt, in relation to Boca do Lobo campaign applications, "successfully approved" means that the Customer's account has all the relevant information which may be required

10. Miscellaneous

Miscellaneous Boca do Lobo decision on all matters relating to the Campaign will be final and binding
Boca do Lobo reserves the right not to disclose its reasons for not approving any campaign application
Boca do Lobo reserves the right to cancel, revise, terminate or suspend the Campaign with notice.
For the avoidance of doubt, any cancellation, revision, termination or suspension by Boca do Lobo of the Campaign shall not entitle any Participant and/or Customer to any claim or compensation against Boca do Lobo for any and all loss or damage suffered or incurred by any Eligible Person, Participant and/or Winner as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation, revision, termination or suspension
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed under the laws of Portugal and the EU (European Union).
These offers may not be combined with any other offer, cannot be applied retroactively, and applies to Boca do Lobo customers only. The Limited campaigns are available only while supplies last, and quantities are limited. Boca do Lobo reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to change, cancel or extend the campaign at any time and or/ to not provide discounted prices in the event of any fraud or deception.

11. Where are your headquarters based? And the production?

They are both located in Oporto, one of the best European destinations, a historical city in the North of Portugal. BOCA DO LOBO’s pieces are handmade in Rio Tinto, in Portugal.

12. When does the production start?

Once you place your order we will send you a Pro-forma invoice stating all the details regarding your order and how to proceed. Once you made the initial payment we will start the production.

13. What is the lead-time of production?

Production time is between 12 to 14 weeks.
Delivery time is not included.
Exceptionally for the USA, the lead times are between 16 to 18 weeks for Soho and Coolors collections and 18 to 20 weeks for Limited Edition and Private Collection.

14. Can the pieces be altered? Dimensions, materials and colors?

We customize all of our products in sizes, materials and colors. If you need a particular customization please contact us and our designers will be thrilled to assist your need.

15. What’s the lead-time for customized pieces?

For pieces with custom specifications or orders of large quantities we reserve the right to agree with the customer on a time of delivery. The Lead Time for this custom orders can vary between 12 and 24 weeks.

16. How do I know if my order has been received?

After you made your order you will receive a confirmation by email with further details on how to proceed.

17. Can I change or amend my order once it has been placed?

In case of your order is a custom piece once we start production it cannot be altered. For standard pieces it depends on a case-by-case basis. You should contact us and expose all the details on your request and it will be evaluated.

18. What are my payment options?

You can pay by making a bank transfer. This is the most common procedure. In exceptional cases, it might be possible to use a letter of credit, however it may take longer and involves additional costs.

19. Can I choose the currency I’m paying in?

You can only pay in euros and US dollars. In case you wish to pay in US dollars we kindly ask you to tell us in advanced.

20. How are your payment conditions?

Pro-forma orders will require a 50% deposit with the order and the balance prior to shipping from Portugal.
Customized pro-forma orders will require 100% deposit.
All pieces are the property of Boca do Lobo until payment in full is received.
We reserve the right to defer the dispatch date until the balance of the order is received.

21. Do you offer discounts for professionals?

Boca do Lobo offers exceptional discounts for professionals and showrooms. For more specific information please contact our sales team to concierge@bocadolobo.com.

22. All the prices are ex-VAT?

All our prices are tax-free so they do not include the VAT.

23. Is my package insured and do I need to sign for my order?

If you choose to take Boca do Lobo’s help in transportation we guarantee insurance by the transport company. However, if you choose to schedule it yourself, we strongly advise you to get insurance. We do not require you to sign the order, but if you prefer you can sign it.

24. How do I know that my order has been shipped?

One week before shipping your order we will contact you for you to finish the payment. As soon as the pieces are shipped we will inform you with all the contact details of the transportation company.

25. What is the difference between “order date” and “ship date”?

Order date means the day that you have made your order. Ship date concerns to the day that your order has been shipped.

26. Can I change my shipping address after my order has been dispatched?

Once the order has been dispatched it is no longer our responsibility. You will be give all the contact details of the transportation company so, in case you would like to change your shipping address you can contact them.

27. Will I receive all the items in my order at the same time?

Usually we ship all pieces of the same order together. However, if you prefer we can ship them as soon as they are produced.

28. What happens if I am not in when the parcel arrives?

After your order has been dispatched we will contact you with all the details you need. We will also kindly ask you for a contact of a second person. If you aren’t in when the parcel arrives this person will be contacted.

29. What is your return/exchange policy?

No returns will be accepted without written consent from Boca do Lobo. Unauthorized returns will be refused at the customers expense. For authorized return we will provide all the information needed.

30. How do you proceed if the pieces arrive damaged to the final destination?

All our pieces leave our factory in perfect condition and perfectly packed. We are not responsible for loss or damage in transit. If a visible or concealed damage occurs in transit, please notify immediately the delivering carrier with a file notification of claim intention. Please note: Failure to report concealed damage within fifteen days of receipt will result in the denial of your claim. Any damage should also be communicated to Boca do Lobo during the first 48 hours after receiving the order; photographic evidence of the damages should be sent by email to concierge@bocadolobo.com.

31. Do you offer a repairs service?

If the product is correctly used it and for some reason it gets damage, we will take responsibility and repair it.

32. How can I clean my product?

Each product has a clean and care guide. You will find the most suitable cleaning option in our website, in each product page.

33. How long is the products warranty?

We offer a 2 years warranty as long as the products is correctly used and maintained in the most suitable conditions.

34. Do you keep stock?

Boca do Lobo doesn’t keep an extensive stock of its pieces. Generally, our pieces are produced upon request, so you will need to wait for the production time. However, on a case-by-case basis we might be able to fulfill your order immediately.

35. How many pieces have each limited edition produced?

Each piece from Limited Edition Collection is made in a limited series of 20.

36. What are the benefits of being an agent?
