Steven Marusarz may sound new to you, but the talented artist and designer has been in the industry since 2013 and has been fortunate enough to learn from some of the best names in the field, including Mary McDonald, Timothy Corrigan, Scott Montgomery, Philip Nimmo and Todd Yoggy.
Steven studied interior architecture in Chicago but soon moved to Los Angeles to begin his career as an interior designer. Today, he is an emerging talent with a brilliant journey that led him to start his own interior design firm to provide sustainable design and build solutions.
Located in Los Angeles – and also with projects in Park City, Utah – SMiD Inc. is a home building and renovation company that seeks to create homes that are the reflection of its passion, commitment, and excellence in design and service.
ART LEADS TO DESIGN
The design also leads to art. With this focus, Steven inspires us to live in stylish, refined and artful interiors. And the journey to get there, to the final result, the great outcome when you can finally say “This is my home!”, is an artistic journey where anything can inspire you. And that’s just one reason why you should trust Steven Marusarz to design the home of your dreams!
ELEGANT AND ARTFUL SPACES
The living room is one of the most popular rooms in a house. A common area where you can spend time alone or with all your family and friends. For this reason, living rooms should be inviting, appealing and cozy.
“I can see entire rooms and furniture designs in the tiniest details of life. For example, a leaf.”Steven Marusarz

This young and talented designer also plays very well with contrasts. Black and white will always be the ultimate meaning of style and sophistication, and Steven uses them very thoughtfully, transforming a simple space into something spectacular.
Light-colored walls and cabinets with a darker kitchen island match perfectly with the rest of the living room, which features black and white sofas and other lighter furniture. The space looks even bigger!
How about some black walls instead? Unlike the kitchen and living room, in this bathroom, Steven Marusarz keeps the same style but reverses the colors. The darker mood creates an intimate setting. The large mirror highlights the elegance and adds the perfect amount of luxury to the room. A piece of art can be seen through it, highlighting the designer’s artistic streak.
