Barca’s bar and restaurant, a modern restaurant design by the Italian interior designer Fabio Fantolino, in the historical Borgo Nuovo district in Turin, northern Italy. It is located in a renovated XIX century building, challenge in this interior design project was to bring a fresh and welcoming feel into smaller space. Large full-height windows with views to the street were the key to complete successfully the eclectic restaurant.

The facility on three levels features a design that creates a strong connection between the ground and first floors: the white color of the walls and objects is interrupted by wallpaper patterned designed with blue ferns, framed by borders in American walnut.
The modern furniture adds to the warm atmosphere: custom lighting fixtures feature chrome cylinders cut diagonally, while the tables made with different colored laminates and the chairs by Alivar in Alcantara reference the mid-century design of the 1970s.
The upholstery of the sofas and seats include sea blue velvet, green cotton, and hazelnut Alcantara.
On the ground floor, the counter is the main element in of the space. It was designed with white circles on a wooden background again references the retro geometric patterns.
Barca’s restaurant provides a cool experience, it brings to the historic center of Turin an atmosphere that reminds us the lifestyle of the 1970s.
