In the heart of Manhattan, a contemporary and elegant home was designed by top interior designer and architect Rafael de Cárdenas, founder of the study “Architecture at Large”.
In this interior design project, everything was organized around a chromatic theme that starts with earth tones and continues with colors a little colder as the levels go up.
A large central staircase, illuminated by a large skylight, gives access to corridors adorned with works of art.

On the ground floor, the kitchen has a custom-made table by Rafael, Konstantin Grcic chairs, Lindsey Adelman Knotty Bubbles chandelier and Thomas Hayes stools. It opens onto a private garden, furnished with tables and chairs by Richard Schultz for Knoll.
On the second floor, the modern living room was adorned with six Cecily Brown paintings placed on the custom-made sofa and covered with a fabric of Maharam. An antique Stilnovo lamp, a chair by the Campana brothers, a vase by Jeff Koons in the center of a coffee table as well as a daybed by Rafael reflect the perfect mix between vintage and contemporary design pieces.
In the contemporary dining room, Charlotte Perriand chairs surround the Sticks table designed by Claude Missir (and bought in Nilufar). Above it, there is a Cherry Bomb lamp by Lindsey Adelman.
On the third floor, the master bedroom is a real haven of serenity decorated with Gauzy curtains, two Pacha pink chairs by Pierre Paulin (as well as a bed and bedside tables at the measure.
The children’s floor moves in green tones. Finally, the upper level has terraces with views of the New York skyline.
