The iconic model Kate Moss shows once her fondness for the interior design world. In collaboration with English wallpaper house de Gournay, the British star created a glamorous wallpaper design collection just unveiled at her London home.
It was with inspiration in the mysterious light of twilight and in the fascination of anemones, flowers that, according to Greek mythology, came from the tears of Aphrodite, which Gournay created. The design process of “Anemones in the light” was conceived of the intense collaboration between the iconic top model and the creative director of the brand.
After several meetings with a lot of British tea, there were a few shades and versions of the cover, which Kate had chosen for the ambiances of her house in London: the bathroom won a grayish version, inspired without the drama of the noir films. The master bath decor in her London home is inspired by dusk “It’s my favorite time of day,” “Picture a summer night when it goes silvery-blue from the light of the moon.”
“I love those old movies with glamorous bathrooms where they have chaise longues. My bathroom in the country has a chesterfield, and when I have my birthday parties there, we always end up hanging out in it,” Moss explains. “It’s got a record player, it’s cozy, it’s fun—there are potions and lotions and smelly things. Everyone’s welcome.”
The entrance design was presented with another version that mixes tones and pastels, as in a psychedelic Aurora.
