Talking about Kelly Wearstler is the same as talking about leaving your comfort zone to make it beautifully cozy! She loves to take risks, especially when designing. As a consequence, Kelly creates stimulating sensory experiences, defying all the color sets and combinations, and also all types of forms and patterns.
“Love color, take risks, stay curious.”, moved by one of her favorite mottos, Kelly Wearstler knows exactly how to take risks, fearless. And every time she does, we fall in love!
Although, she also plays very well with neutral tones and minimalist elements, mainly when designing and accentuating vintage and mid-century inspired environments, at some beachy residences or hotels through the California coast. For this residence, Kelly selected a natural and organic palette of sandstones, shell pinks, rusts, and moonstone grays, embracing a modernist connection between the sea and the redesigning of this four-level south California coastal escape.

The interiors of this residence tell us a magnificent story about the owner’s art collection. Following her signature mix of raw and refined details, Kelly used extravagant, shiny metals in such functional items as the kitchen cabinet blend with playful Italian modern 80s furniture. The ebonized walnut floors are extremely durable and pay homage to the client’s busy lifestyle.
