For the first time ever, luxury design brand Louis Vuitton is making a name for themself in the culinary world. Louis Vuitton‘s first-ever luxury restaurant, designed by Peter Marino and Jun Aoki, is about to open in Osaka’s flagship store and features fine dining experiences from famed Japanese chef Yosuke Suga.



Located on the top of the Osaka flagship store, Louis Vuitton‘s Le Café and restaurant Sugalabo V will welcome guests starting February 1. Both dining experiences have menus curated by chef Yosuke Suga, a protégé of the late culinary legend Joël Robuchon. The restaurant design is elegant and chic, it truly enhances the luxury store‘s beauty and name. Le Café V will include a spacious outdoor terrace, cocktail bar, and oval-shaped “cocoon room” that will be open both day and night.


“A restaurant can be a meeting point where you often go and spend time. I guess Osaka is a city important enough, but not vital, where such an experiment can be conducted safely.”
Sugalabo V, an exclusive restaurant that will only be available to a handful of select diners each evening. This abode of fine dining and luxury design made by Peter Marino and Jun Aoki will feature some iconic Louis Vuitton Objets Nomades created by the designer Tokujin Yoshioka.


The entire interior design project celebrates Osaka’s sea-faring history. The modern building‘s facade is designed to look like a series of white sails, giving the location the look and feel of a traditional Japanese cargo ship.
