The old apartment in a 1970’s building allowed the designers to create unique opportunity to work in a 380 square meter space with a 100 square meter balcony with stunning views in the world.
By reflecting the vision of the Riviera lifestyle, the aim of the project is to be timeless while exuding discreet luxury. Inspired by the blending of French and Italian design style that takes place on the Riviera, Humbert & Poyet wanted a mix of iconic French pieces from the 50s along with bespoke Italian furniture.
They looked for a more classic design with touches of bright color, printed wallpapers influenced by plants and breath-taking exterior views out over the Mediterranean.
Walking through the apartment your eyes are drawn to 2 sconces by Safarti Jeanneret and two chairs that express the Franco-Italian marriage of styles that is at the heart of this apartment.
The designers display Slim Aarons’ iconic and heavily pigmented work, Gossip Pool, over an intense peacock-green and purple floral wallpaper by Matthew Williamson for Osborne & Little.
The living room is filled with contemporary furniture and objects that decor the room naturally, with sophistication.
In the dining room decor, the stunning of Fedele Papagni’s Sputnik chandelier and Pierre de Tan’s cartoony artworks set the elegant mood alongside the Dimore Gallery’s table and chair suite.
The challenge of the project was the redesign a 70’s apartment with modern home with contemporary furniture pieces and bespoke designs.
