The second edition of Nomad St. Moritz will return to Chesa Planta, the prestigious mansion in the heart of the Swiss Alps with a unique collection of contemporary design and modern art pieces. Nomad revisits the classic idea of fairs and exhibitions to innovate a new format for the XXI century. A traveling event for collectible design, Nomad brings together a selection of the world’s leading galleries in incredible architectural locations.
The founders and curators of the project, Giorgio Pace and Nicolas Bellawans-Lecomte, pay much attention to the context and exhibits every year in unexpected places.

For each exhibitor, the organizers provided a separate room. Nomad collaborates with twenty-five leading world galleries, creating immersive installations. In each room, a dramatic setting takes place, building a unique dialogue between the works of designers and the visitors looking for an unusual experience.
“We are proposing intimate showcases in special architectural locations, places that aren’t usually open to the public‘, explains Giorgio Pace. “We both understood that there is a need for an alternative to the traditional model of fairs and the benefits of NOMAD are that the objects are not presented in a big tent, instead you see them in a beautiful house in daylight, which is ultimately where they will end up. The traveling nature of the event allows galleries to meet collectors in places where they might live or are on holiday.”
