The top interior designers<\/a><\/strong><\/em> are applauded for the finest hotel projects around the world.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Four Seasons Downtown New York<\/a><\/strong> is housed in a tower also known as\u00a030 Park Place, completed by American architect\u00a0Robert A M Stern<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in 2016. The 185-room luxury hotel<\/a><\/strong> is located on the lower floors, with 157 private residences accommodated on top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yabu Pushelberg<\/span> was invited to do the interior design project<\/a><\/strong> for the three lowest levels that hold the guest amenities, and the hotel bedrooms above. For the iconic Four Seasons<\/a><\/strong>, the design firm<\/a><\/strong> used dark wood in the public spaces and soft colors in the guest rooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n \"Console<\/a>\n\n\n\n

The modern hotel<\/a><\/strong> has its own astounding entrance on the ground floor, where visitors enter through a pair of giant glass doors<\/span>. On the same floor are the lobby and a business center,<\/span> which are separated into a series of smaller spaces that include lounges and a coffee bar<\/span>. Great touches by Yabu Pushelberg<\/span>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDiverting from a more traditional layout, asymmetry is embraced, and provides a reoccurring theme throughout the hotel,\u201d said Yabu Pushelberg.<\/span> \u201cBreaking up a harder architectural shell, furnishings, custom rugs and accessories in muted jewel tones soften the overall space.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The design firm<\/a><\/strong> chose dark wood to panel walls and columns, which is softened by lighter upholstery and travertine stone flooring.\u00a0 They also designed a bespoke <\/a><\/strong>desk formed from horizontal layers of stone sits in front of tall lavender-colored curtains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn the ballroom, a sculptural installation forms a canopy of light, a loose interpretation of a tree canopy, above a custom carpet pattern that suggests shadows below,\u201d said the studio.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Typical bedrooms <\/a><\/strong>also feature soft hues, used across furniture pieces<\/a><\/strong>, patterned carpets, and textured fabrics. \u201cThe standard room combines a sense of entry, a layering of architectural elements<\/a><\/strong> and luxury furniture<\/strong> <\/a>with a bespoke design<\/a><\/strong> to provide a warm, residential quality,\u201d Yabu Pushelberg<\/span> said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
