Aniston was\u00a0deeply involved in the\u00a0residential project<\/strong>, the redesign of a house in Bel Air designed by the architect A. Quincy Jones of 1965. \u201cThere was a very dramatic entrance sequence that led to this great door painted in Chinese red,\u201d recalls the actress. \u201cAesthetically, it was the furthest thing I wanted, but I immediately had the feeling that it could work, it\u2019s hard to describe, but I felt a connection.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aniston with the help of interior designer Stephen Shadley<\/strong>, with whom he had already worked in his previous house in Los Angeles, work together to preserve the modern<\/strong> spirit of the original scheme and organic materials. \u201cJen is attracted to wood, stone, and bronze, materials that have a real substance and depth, no matter how beautiful or glamorous something is, it has to be warm and cozy,\u201d says Shadley.<\/p>\n

Jennifer describes her design style<\/strong> as \u201cthe Old World meets the New World\u201d, a mixture of hand-painted paper and luxury\u00a0furniture<\/strong> from the mid-20th century, silk and polished cement carpets, old Japanese panels and abstract expressionist paintings.\u00a0 \u201cIn every corner, you have an experience, wherever you look, you have a view, it\u2019s very difficult to achieve that,\u201d says Aniston.<\/p>\n
