Jamie Bush<\/span><\/strong><\/em> is a pure New Yorker<\/em> living in Los Angeles<\/a><\/strong>. With art running through his veins since he grew up surrounded by notorious designers<\/em> and artists<\/em>.<\/span> Jamie<\/strong> studied architecture and design<\/em> in New Orleans and Italy. It was after completing his Master in Architecture<\/em> from Tulane University that he moved to L.A.<\/strong> and initiate his interior design firm<\/em> in 2002.<\/p>\n\n\n

Jamie Bush <\/strong><\/em>was lucky enough to collaborate with some other giants<\/em> such as Steven Ehrlich, Marmol Radziner<\/strong><\/a>, David Hertz, Walker Workshop, Kelly Wearstler<\/a><\/strong> and Barbara Bestor<\/a> just to name a few. Although, it was by flying solo<\/em> that he has been working on some of the most significant historical residential modernist homes<\/em><\/a> <\/em>in the US<\/strong>. Take a look at some of Boca do Lobo<\/strong>\u2018s favorite projects by Jamie<\/em><\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brentwood Modern<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Jamie Bush<\/em><\/strong> decorated the interior of this 1940\u2019s ranch to create a modern and minimalist environment<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to make the space joyful and lively, he added splashes of vibrant colors like peacock blue and lemon yellow in the living room<\/span>, while natural, grounded shades of the wooden furniture make the interior<\/em> more mature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Canada Mid-Century<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Winner of the Architectural Merit Award by Pasadena Foothill AIA in 2012<\/em><\/span>, this 5,000 square foot home is located in the foothills of La Ca\u00f1ada Flintridge<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this mid-century home<\/em><\/a>, the walls are covered with redwood and the clerestory windows offer a privacy and isolation feeling<\/em>. Tones of deep browns are interweaved with black in the living room, and this is united with the simple lustrous language of the steel kitchen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silvertop<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This one is iconic<\/em>! A piece of modernist architecture<\/em> designed by John Lautner<\/strong> with a magnificent view of the Silverlake reservoir in Los Angeles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jamie<\/strong> took care of the interiors by conceiving a domestic space with movable walls and fluted cypress paneling. Divided into intersecting semicircles that include a kitchen, living and sleeping areas, be part of the indoor space details like a curved sofa in the living room, a \u201cTivoli\u201d coffee table, and Portuguese<\/a> cork ceiling tiles<\/em><\/span> as well as technologically advanced elements such as retractable ceilings and passive heating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

San Francisco Townhouse<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In the heart of San Francisco<\/strong>, there\u2019s a modern townhouse<\/em> that is sprinkled with a combo of surrealist art, vintage pieces, and unconventional, organically shaped objects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Contemporary furniture<\/em> is connected to historic pieces, and there\u2019s a sharp contrast of materials and textures<\/span>. Cheerful colors facing more exquisite shades, spacious floors, green terraces, and the blackened steel and oak staircase are some of the components that bring the space to life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2017 Jamie Bush<\/em><\/strong> was chosen by the Tulane School of Architecture Board of Advisors<\/em> and most recently honored into the 2020 AD100 top global architects and designers of the year, as well as Elle Decor\u2019s A-List of top designers for 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
