Marina Filippova<\/em><\/strong> is well known for its passion for design and architecture and runs today numerous interior design projects in Russia, Switzerland, UK, Italy and France. Her impeccable taste as well as her ability to combine the classical and the modern, the antique and the vintage with the high-end, has gave her the opportunity to work with demanding clients, some of them well renowned. Her work has been featured in international publications and AD magazine included her in the top Russian International designers.<\/p>\n

Boca do Lobo<\/a><\/strong> presents you today a recent project by this leading interior designer \u2013\u00a0Karavannaya \u2013 that reflects the authenticity of the city of Saint Petersburg.<\/p>\n

\u201cI met the customer at the exhibition of contemporary art in Paris\u201d \u2013 said Marina Filippova. \u201cWe were talking, he asked me to pick a couple of paintings for his Paris apartment. And then, when he decided to buy an apartment in St. Petersburg, he invited me to do the design.\u201d<\/p>\n

Instead of making a typical Saint Petersburg environment, having antique furniture, bronze and palace parquet \u2013 Marina incorporated St. Petersburg into the interior. \u00abThis idea occurred in the very beginning\u201d the decorator recalls.<\/p>\n

\"Karavannaya<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cAs soon as I came near the windows and looked the fa\u00e7ade of the building on the other side, with its own characteristic rusticated classical architecture and bas-reliefs in the form of griffins on the windows. I realized that I need to make sure that the interior architecture has these elements. Therefore, these elements are present on the walls of the living room and reliefs with griffins over the door\u00bb.<\/p>\n

\"pictureSaint Petersburg is very vivid in the apartment, and Paris also \u2013 all together with the d\u00e9cor and art pieces. The main color in the interior is gray, the tones vary from pearl to light blue, splashes of color and wooden details appear only in the living room \u2013 referring to summer garden greens with the Neva River in the background.<\/p>\n

The master bedroom is decorated in pearl tones. Restrained stucco decoration in the form of moldings and cornice unobtrusively \u201ctranslates\u201d the classic theme.\u00a0 The accents have been carefully chosen, even the closet knobs are part of the d\u00e9cor.\u00a0A gold matte cross is engraved on the surface, it focuses the attention and draws the eyes inside through the looking glass extending the depth of the room.<\/p>\n

We can say that this is a Saint Petersburg apartment but with a French imprint.<\/p>\n
