Olga Ashby<\/span><\/em><\/strong> has transformed a typical London apartment <\/a><\/strong>into a light-filled and artful retreat for a famous flood blogger from China. The building was originally built in 1820, and the renovation retained the grand proportions and elegant color palette<\/a><\/strong> of the period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

English artist Mark Quinn\u2019s painting of the human eye is a focal point of the living room<\/a><\/strong>. The vintage-style coffee tables<\/strong> <\/a>and side tables<\/a><\/strong> were purchased from Paris-based gallery R&Y Augosty<\/strong>. The rug is custom-made by Riviere.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With its high ceilings and large French windows, the living room is flooded with light and the perfect canvas for Olga Ashby\u2019s selection of contemporary<\/a><\/strong> and vintage pieces<\/a><\/strong>, including Achilles armchairs from Pool Studio<\/strong> and side tables from R&Y Augosty Gallery<\/strong> in Paris. Olga\u2019s uncompromising vision ensured the 180-square-meter apartment looks thoughtful, unexciting and richly appointed, albeit with a refreshing <\/a>lightness<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The interiors of this home are, as a result, luminous and artistic, with vintage items and limited-edition pieces sourced from galleries, private collectors and at auctions.<\/p>\nOlga Ashby | Ad Middle East<\/cite>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

For the bedroom<\/a><\/strong>, British artist Bianca Smith<\/strong> painted a portrait of the client, while the <\/strong>artwork<\/strong> <\/a>by Mark Quinn<\/strong> that now forms the focal point of the living room<\/a><\/strong> was acquired from a private collector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the tactile and soothing surfaces in the living room<\/a><\/strong>, to the beautiful marble dining table<\/a><\/strong> by Carlo Scarpa<\/strong> purchased at auction, to the delicate upholstered Dedar dining chairs by Gallotti & Radice<\/strong>, the space features fine materials and finishes that enhance everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
