Hand-painted-tiles have gained a privileged place in architecture throughout the centuries. Portugal has adopted them like no other country has and in order to honor the Portuguese hand painted tiles, Boca do Lobo created Heritage Sideboard. This piece presents a different number of layers, where each one tells a different story.

The Heritage Sideboard was passed along 5 different skilled hands and underwent meticulously handcrafted processes to conceive a unique design expression. A challenging piece of marquetry whose interior features beautiful detailed carved edges, and 20 hours work of leaf gilding. Layer by layer, gold leaves are applied to add extra texture, depth, and richness. Its remarkable exterior panel is handpainted by one of the 12 artists remaining in Portugal mastering the Azulejo technique, the renowned handpainted tiles which reflect a legacy of centuries.
