As part of its True Colours range, design studio Boca Do Lobo has created the Pixel cabinet, a piece of furniture that transcends old traditions and modern design.
The name Pixel refers to modern technology, conveyed through the brightly coloured geometric pattern on the exterior. However, this cabinet employs the most trusted craftsmanship.
The 1,088 triangles of the exterior pattern come in 1,088 colours and have a variety of finishes – silver leaf, gold leaf, lacquering and 10 different types of wood leaf. The interior of the cabinet employs the capitoné technique, as seen on Chesterfield couches. The Art Deco-style brass base gives the piece a strong character, competing with the bold cabinet body.
