We bring you what we consider to be some of the best design groups in New York City and today, is Stonehill Taylor’s turn!Established in 1963, Stonehill Taylor is an architecture and interior design group, based in New York City. Stonehill Taylor’s portfolio is immense, from interior design renovation to new building construction, some of their previous projects include: The St. Regis New York, Park Terrace Hotel, The Whitby, and Paramount Hotel’s Diamond Horseshoe. The award-winning architecture and design group specializes in hospitality, but they have been also involved in projects with academic facilities, commercial spaces and showrooms.
In New York, where the architecture and design group are based, they’ve been involved with numerous hospitality projects, the Conrad New York Midtown is one of them. As architect and interior designer, Stonehill Taylor was tasked with renovating the hotel. Their design is special as it exudes elegance and sophistication and displays beautiful pieces of contemporary art. Luxury and comfort go hand in hand in this project, the suites are modern and incorporate all the amenities one needs. A combination of textures and materials highlight the neutral palette and wooden floors. A great achievement by the architecture and design group!
Also in New York, Stonehill Taylor completed the interior design of The Stayton Room, the bar of the Lexington Hotel. Being true to its legendary history, the architecture and design group elevated Stayton Room’s Art Deco influence to a level of pure sophistication. They achieved a jewel like effect by playing with materials such as granite and cooper and with colors like velvet pink and blue. The Stayton Room is a true design inspiration!

Stonehill Taylor are hospitality specialists. The Moxy Chelsea hotel was one of their greatest architectural projects as it combines industrial and natural elements with the unique New York aesthetic. Moxy Chelsea is the true design hotel. Two design firms, Rockwell Group and Tao Group, were responsible for the design of the food and beverage program. It does not end there though, Yabu Pushelberg did the interior design for the lobby and guestrooms. This project is undoubtedly a one-of-a-kind as it allowed the cooperation between admired architecture and design groups.
Another amazing project by the architecture and design group was the renovation of the NYLO New York City. Inspired by its historic location, Stonehill Taylor took the brand’s industrial look and paired it with an elegant and sophisticated New York’s Jazz Era vibe, turning the space into an aesthetic experience.
