“In nature nothing is created, nothing is lost, everything changes.”
Antoine Lavoisier
Creativity has been part of Boca do Lobo’s purpose and creative’s DNA. Breaking creative boundaries and being able of getting better at every step of the journey is what moves our designers and talented artisans.
After the huge success of Metamorphosis Series, presented for the first time at Salone del Mobile in Milan, Boca do Lobo gives a step forward and returns to Maison et Objet Paris to present the newest dining table, designed to strengthen this unique concept.
The first Metamorphosis’ three-piece set, composed by our reinterpreted Diamond sideboard and two mirrors, was inspired by the great novel of the 20th Century, written by the phenomenal thinker Franz Kafka. Created to put aesthetic standards and the meaning of beauty to test, Metamorphosis Series digs deep introspection, unknowingly looking for meaning or something to hang on to. It also represents the life cycle with different stages and different goals.

Metamorphosis Dining Table has come to symbolize the evolutionary history of life, representing the last stage of the cycle through the usage of sculpted fossils on display at the top of the table. It also represents the effort made by our designers to questioning the existence of things, by answering a simple and basic question: “How can we define something as living?”
According to Boca do Lobo’s quality signature, Metamorphosis Dining Table embodies handmade techniques such as wood carving, metalwork and polishing, executed by some of the best craftsman in the country. A unique product for those who have a peculiar taste for limited edition pieces and conceptual designs.
Representing the final stage in the cycle of life, Metamorphosis Dining Table is not the last design for this out of ordinary line, but the living proof of our permanent craving for evolutionary pieces an exclusive design. Just like happens in nature and in the universe, in the design world, “nothing is created, nothing is lost, everything changes”.
