Jonathan Adler and his partner Simon Doonan decided last year that it was time for a change, and made the decision of doing an ultimate renovation to their Greenwich Village.
Their old bedroom became their office, the living room became their bedroom and the office became the dining room. New elements were brought to complement all the interior design ideas, such as newly designed furniture, pillows, and lamps. Jonathan Adler wanted it to be bold, glamorous, and memorable. Three things that would make this interior design project as great as it turned out to be.
Their clubby library has a luminous David Hicks wallpaper on the ceiling and features a fringed sofa in a decadent Proustian velvet.
The newest living room design has a beautiful and imposing checkerboard rug that goes on the floor with two Vladimir Kagan settees in an ivory tone. In Jonathan Adler‘s home, the details make all the difference, some are crazy and unexpected, like the life-size ceramic poodle gifted by Michael Kors, laying on top of some Tiffany boxes while being directed to a very old looking mirror places on a corner in the living room.

This is an abode of vintage gems, that include a Paul Evans four-poster bed, a Fornasetti screen, a bust of Michael Jackson and an Ed Paschke portrait of Sly Stone. For Jonathan Adler and his partner, watching the stunning and fun final result was completely delightful. A very astonishing interior design project by one of the best interior designers in the 21st century.
