A Day in cannes yacthing festival

During the cannes yachting festival, Cannes becomes a destination where yachting, design, gastronomy and Riviera lifestyle come together. From breakfast overlooking La Croisette to dinner on the Mediterranean, this is a day designed around the city’s most refined addresses. The 2026 edition takes place from 8–13 September, across the Vieux Port and Port Canto, with more than 700 boats on display.

BREAKFAST — Carlton Cannes

Start the your day at Carlton Cannes, one of the Riviera’s most iconic addresses. The hotel’s recent transformation was led by architect Richard Lavelle and interior designer Tristan Auer, whose interiors combine Belle Époque heritage with contemporary Riviera elegance. The project won four AHEAD Europe 2023 awards, including Hotel of the Year, Best Hotel Renovation, Best Guestrooms and Best Lobby.

After breakfast, head to the Vieux Port, the main stage for motor yachts at the cannes yachting festival. Located beneath Le Suquet, it presents more than 350 boats, including motor yachts, power catamarans, RIBs and new launches from leading shipyards. YACHTS — Port Canto

Continue to Port Canto, the sailing and lifestyle hub of the cannes yachting festival. The harbour brings together sailing yachts, brokerage yachts, dayboats, powerboats and water toys, offering a different perspective on the world of yachting. Complimentary sea shuttles connect Port Canto with the Vieux Port throughout the Festival.

APERITIVO — Le Roof

As the afternoon turns to golden hour, head to Le Roof at the Five Seas Hotel. Its rooftop setting combines panoramic views with an elegant, vegetalised atmosphere. The space was redesigned by architect Pascal Allaman, creating a suspended garden with natural materials and greenery. Today, chef Lori Moreau leads an inventive bistronomic menu based on seasonal local produce, while the rooftop bar focuses on cocktails and sunset views.

SUNSET — La Guérite

For sunset, take a boat to Île Sainte-Marguerite and La Guérite. The restaurant and beach club were designed by Cannes-based interior designer Samy Chams, whose portfolio also includes several Riviera hospitality destinations. Its relaxed Mediterranean setting blends natural textures, seaside colours and an informal elegance. Chef Yiannis Kioroglou serves Mediterranean cuisine inspired by his Greek roots, using oven, charcoal and barbecue cooking.

DINNER — La Palme d’Or

Back on La Croisette, dinner at La Palme d’Or at Hôtel Martinez brings the day to a more gastronomic close. The restaurant was designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon, whose Art Deco-inspired interiors reflect the Riviera character of the hotel. Led by chef Christian Sinicropi, La Palme d’Or has a celebrated history of two Michelin stars and remains one of Cannes’ most prestigious gastronomic addresses.

LATE NIGHT — La Môme

End the evening at La Môme, just off La Croisette on Rue Florian. Designed by interior architect Samy Chams, the restaurant combines pink and burgundy tones, silky textures, gold details, intimate lighting and photographs by Slim Aarons, creating a glamorous Dolce Vita atmosphere. Chef Julian Cazalas serves Provençal-Mediterranean cuisine, while the cocktail bar keeps the evening moving long after dinner.
