A stunning apartment in the heart of Barcelona was transformed by Meritxell Ribé from The Room Studio into a bright and warm modern home. The original architectural elements were restored and highlighted by the contemporary decorative element and a clever selection of modern furniture.
Regarding the living room and dining room, the result offers a continuous relationship between the rooms through the wall color and the eclectic approach of the environment. In the modern living room, the beautiful fireplace fills space adding elegance and sobriety to this interior.

The balance of the interior was accomplished through the use of wood in the pavement, it combines perfectly with the chromatic range that varies between gray, juicy yellow and saturated turquoise.
The modern dining room is occupied by an old Danish table, it also helps to give a touch of color to this space together with the careful lighting chosen.
There are many curious decor items: a figurine “hands”, unusual vases and lamps, these decorative elements are integrated along with the contemporary furniture and the modern works of art placed in every space. Straight lines design was chosen to privilege the flow of the house.
The house has a master bedroom and two bedrooms for visitors located in a more private area just for the family. All rooms show a certain character using different wallpapers, they do not look apart, the connecting thread is the color. The vibrant rooms have been contrasted with the use of neutral textiles providing balance and comfort.
The main goal of this interior design project was to bring a modern and bright vibe to this classic house.
