The second of the Christian Louboutin villas, La Maison des Bateaux, takes a more traditional approach. Inspired by the vernacular houses of the Alentejo, its whitewashed architecture, blue details and generous outdoor spaces create a relaxed coastal atmosphere.

Inside, nautical references meet local craftsmanship, vintage finds and colourful patterns. Salvaged ship windows, unique artworks and pieces from Louboutin’s collection give the residence an eclectic identity, while the surrounding rice fields reinforce its sense of tranquillity. The villa accommodates up to six guests.

The architectural vision for La Salvada is by Egyptian architect Tarek Shamma, whose work focuses on creating a sensitive relationship between architecture and its surroundings. His practice has been recognised through inclusion in the AD100 in 2024, 2025 and 2026.

For the interiors, Christian Louboutin’s own eye is fundamental. His private art collection, eclectic references and fascination with craftsmanship transform the Christian Louboutin villas into highly personal environments rather than conventional luxury accommodations.

The design language moves between Alentejo heritage, global influences, Mediterranean ease and contemporary maximalism.
