Dan Fink Studio believes that to love design is to love nature, and that the natural world shapes our sense of beauty and harmony. The New York-based design firm aesthetic is based on the principle that nature itself gives us the ability to perceive essential proportions, patterns, materials and colors, fundamental elements of design, which allows us to develop infinite styles, from simple to complex, ordered to organic, quiet to bold, minimal to maximal, light to dark… This is Dan Fink Studio’s natural world.
The New York-based design firm studies design traditions and how they evolved through time to answer a few simple questions: What is the purpose of a room in our day? How can we make its experience most gratifying?
Dan Fink Studio aligns their connection to the natural world with a few important principles such as place, light, color, materials, patterns, details, architectural features, art and custom furniture.
Craftsmanship is of pivotal importance in their designs, millwork, metalwork, and masonry enhance their incredible projects, making them truly unique. From architectural features to custom furniture, the New York-based design firm works closely with artisans to create highly personalized spaces and furnishings. The natural materials they use are an ode to luxury design, providing a quiet sophistication and a sense of purity.
Their interior design projects have an incredible attention to detail. That’s what defines a space’s characters, from restrained minimalism to elegant complexity. Dan Fink Studio tries to innovate in their designs, inventing unlikely yet harmonious combinations and imagining new expressions, mixing traditional and contemporary elements.
Fifth Avenue is a restoration project of a treasured 1880s townhouse. Dan Fink Studio chose modernist furnishings and art, simplistic forms and opulent fabrics to enhance the house’s amazing architectural features. This unmatched design inspiration is an ode to femininity as oyster whites are combined with an almost ethereal natural glow. Luxury design at its best!
Park Avenue is also an interior design project with great historical value. The 1920s duplex has many classical elements which bring elegant clarity. Modern simplicity is elevated with fine materiality, in bronze, macassar ebony, silks and velvets. An earthen palette, grounding and warm provides comfort and a homey feeling. This greatly balanced project is the perfect mix of classic and contemporary design.
Dan Fink Studio appreciation for design, life and the natural world is clear in their creations. The classicism of nature, which leads them to design some of the most exciting interiors out there, is a unique and innovative concept and we cannot wait to see what the New York-based design firm will do next!
