Downtown Design is a key event of Dubai Design Week
Outstanding Brands and Innovations
Downtown Design 2024 will welcome recognized international brands, including Audo Copenhagen, Haberdashery, Kartell, and Poltrona Frau. This year’s collections stand out for their innovation and contemporary design. B&B Italia will also be present, showcasing its iconic interior and exterior pieces in partnership with Baituti Home.
One of the main highlights is The Conran Shop, which will be launched online in the United Arab Emirates, presenting a range of handcrafted works and innovative interior solutions. Italian designer Jacopo Foggini will showcase his polycarbonate creations, while Hands Carpets will unveil its first collection in collaboration with industrial designer Nika Zupanc.
Immersive Experiences and Competitions
Among the immersive experiences, Preciosa will bring its pixel concept, while Atelier Vierkant will make its debut at the fair. Lasvit will present an exhibition by Yabu Pushelberg, and Cosentino will offer an innovative experience with monolithic walls. Isola Design and Casa Milano also promise to make an impact with their creative concepts.
Opening of Editions Art & Design
One of this year’s highlights will be the inauguration of Editions Art & Design, the region’s first limited-edition art and design fair. With more than 50 galleries and studios, this space will be dedicated to contemporary works, including photography, ceramics, and prints.

UAE Design Exhibition 5.0
The UAE Design Exhibition 5.0 will highlight 30 designers who create objects that resonate emotionally. Curated by Omar Al Gurg, participants will be able to explore materiality and form, inspiring moments of tranquillity in a hectic world.

Lecture and Networking Programme
The talks program, The Forum, will bring together a diverse range of designers and opinion leaders. The Japanese minimalist aesthetic will be the inspiration for the space, designed by interior designer Thomas Trad. Architect India Mahdavi will be one of the speakers, addressing multicultural design and the fusion of contemporary identities.
