Guillaume Excoffier is one half of Gabriel & Guillaume, which stages exhibits of collectable vintage design all over the world. Used to be a busy traveller, Guillaume spent lockdown in the UAE at his colourful apartment in Dubai.

Travel and reading are the ultimate inspirations for Guillaume design view. Fascinated by Versailles as a child, he was amazed by a visit to Vizcaya in Miami as a teenager. Having also lived in Bordeaux, Guillaume grew with amazing cultural references as years went by.

Of course, for a designer such as Guillaume, the stay in Dubai was a perfect opportunity to create an amazing interior design project. The Dubai apartment had lots of light but it lacked charm. But Guillaume Excoffier fall in love with the terrace and the location: living near the beach was always one of his dreams.

In this Dubai apartment, Guillaume gave life and warmth to standardized spaces. He created something fresh and fun, adding color everywhere, and covered all the floors with patterned Madeline Weinrib rugs he had from his former store in Paris.
