Paris is a city that lives a balance between the past and the future that is palpable in its streets and buildings. The Hôtel Saint-Marc is no exception, as it is located in a building dating back to 1791 that has undergone major social and architectural changes.

“We create designs and atmospheres that recollect. A juxtaposition of contexts, spaces and elements that evoke emotion. A nonlinear narrative blurring nostalgia, present sensations and hopes.”
Dimorestudio

In the lobby, guests are greeted by a combination of white and black marble in the purest French tradition. Refined hues and furniture in sumptuous velvet create a warm feeling in the common areas. Some accessories and custom-made furniture pieces were made to contrast with the classical architecture and the existing Art Deco elements.

The interior design studio has created 25 rooms in Hôtel Saint-Marc, each of which is a private area where each visitor feels comfortable. They use 6 primary colors that alternate in each room, ranging from a mustard tone to a pine green.
This chromatic selection brought a touch of the 60’s – 70’s to the style, which was given a twist with a contemporary concept of modern furniture to suit the needs of today’s travelers. With these experiences, this luxury hotel is a place where the elegant and fun spirit of Paris can be felt.
The word Dimore in Italian means dwelling but conjures up images of old villas clinging to their aristocratic origins. It lends the name a sense of nostalgia. I think it’s our DNA: we take a historical approach to a project to give it some roots, and then we inject it with more of a contemporary feel.
Founded in Milan in 2003 by Britt Moran and Emiliano Salci, Dimorestudio is a global architecture and design studio that creates residential, retail and hospitality projects as well as furnishings, textiles and lighting under the name Dimoremilano.
