Liv Tyler’s New York Townhouse is the perfect embodiment of West Village living. The actress worked with some of the best designers in the business to bring new life to the historical building.

West Village is very much Liv Tyler’s home, it’s where the actress does all her favorite things, including going to her ultimate favorite restaurant: Mary’s Fish Camp. Although she recently purchased a townhouse in London, Tyler considers her this amazing restored, four-story townhouse on West 11th Street her home.
This luxurious New York Townhouse is all about the details, and its renovation was a labor of love and devotion. Built in the late 1800s, the brownstone had already been through a handful of pamperings before being purchased by the actress in 2001. The house is filled with history and its renovation, a great challenge to any designer.

After meeting with a handful of architects, Liv decided to work with Ben Pentreath, a London-based architect and interior designer who combines a strong use of colour, pattern and classical detail with bold contemporary design and bespoke furniture pieces.

It was indeed a labor of love, and both the actress and the designer worked immensely to bring the brownstone to its former glory, honoring its details and intricacies in the most beautiful of ways. French inspiration fuelled the design project and the result is a beautiful balance of classic and contemporary design. Vintage pieces, like a Paul Evans couch, are combined with modern furnishings, providing both comfort and visual interest.
The upper floor is reserved for the master bedroom and Vicky Evans, an interior designer who is also a friend of Liv’s, helped the actress create her own private oasis, a bedroom which is an embodiment of spring and sheer attention to detail. The luxurious New York Townhouse is an ode to architecture and interior design. An incredible celebrity home and unmatched design inspiration for all the interior design enthusiasts.
