The Istoria Design Hotel is Santorini’s newest addition, located at the sublime junction where the black volcanic sand of Perivolos Beach meets the midnight blue waters of the Aegean Sea. The 12-suite escape forms a new kind of hospitality for the island, where a relaxed and contemporary aesthetic sparks a next-generation social hub for sophisticated travelers.

Created by the Athens-based Interior Design Laboratorium, Istoria feels like it’s always been on Santorini. Inspired by the distinctive architecture of the Cyclades islands, it offers a spectacular combination of traditional and contemporary interiors.
They used endemic materials of volcanic stones, black sand, and colored plaster, Istoria’s structure is influenced by Santorini’s unique architecture.
Here, the simplicity of the spaces blends harmoniously with the island’s traditional building materials of volcanic stones and colored plaster and a few well-chosen pieces of wooden furniture and handcrafted textiles.
The designers looked for an eclectic collection of old and modern furniture from the Mediterranean and Greece, that complements the terracotta, natural wood, and classical decorative touches. In the bright and sculptural suites, the ancient arched openings guide guests towards private terraces.
While soaking in the calmness of the relaxing surroundings, your stay will be enriched by a wealth of things to enjoy, from the sublime wines of Santorini to the food prepared by our celebrated chef Alexandros Tsiotinis.
Of course, no picture of perfect getaway would be complete without private outdoor hot tubs or pools.
