“When the weather is nasty in Paris I jump on a plane and come to beautiful La La Land,” he says with a boyish grin, adding, “The light in Los Angeles is the most beautiful in the world.”

Jean-Louis Deniot‘s 1930s residence immediately seduced him throughout its fairy-tale quality. The 2,800-square-foot home’s Tudor-Esque exteriors coupled with its Spanish-style interiors were likely the creation of a set designer or someone working for the Hollywood studios of the era. Everything in LA is absolutely massive, the houses are as big as possible and everyone wants to have absolute mansions, but for Jean-Louis Deniot it was different, he wanted a modest house but large gardens.
