The American rocker transformed a forgotten coffee plantation into an artistic Eden, a modern home that it will leave you stunned. At 54, the rock star Lenny Kravitz, is still one of the coolest guys in the world, constantly exceeding expectations and forging new paths for artistic expression.
Since he founded Kravitz Design 16 years ago, he has dressed public spaces and suites for hotels in Miami, Las Vegas, and Toronto, and has developed products with a very contemporary design, ranging from modern furniture and ironwork to wallpaper and ceramic tiles of bold aesthetics. However, one of his most fascinating interior design projects has been the continuous reinterpretation of a Brazilian coffee plantation on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro, which dates back to the 18th century.
“I ended up staying for six months. It was extraordinary. I left my life behind, learned to ride horses with cowboys, learned about agriculture, and reconnected with nature, ”he said. “I had never felt so calm, peaceful, and so close to God. It was a magical time. I thought: I don’t want to work and hustle anymore; I will be a farmer. ” says the Kravitz about his modern home.
With this luxury home, he created a personal retreat for family, friends and their collaborators, where modern art and nature could exist in perfect harmony. Kravitz describes this modern home as a “place to disconnect, give life a restart, and take the time to be silent and be able to hear yourself.”
