About all the luxury penthouse’s project construction: Robert Couturier’s client asked him to create a contemporary and modern apartment to receive her visits in New York City and impress all of them. With this point of view and through his vast knowledge, the top interior designer produced something different than everything that he created before: this interior design project was an intriguing opportunity to mix fine art and unique design as magic tools and perfect ways to build a striking luxury penthouse.

With sophistication and connoisseurship, Robert Couturier gave a dose of humor, mastery of the concepts of proportion and scale to build this contemporary design project. The 59th-floor luxury penthouse overlooks Central Park, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering remarkable views of the city skyline.

Inside the contemporary white living room, there is a rolling ceramic screen by British-born Brooklyn artist Peter Lane who was inspired by a visit to New York’s Museum of Natural History. Besides this, there is a Rosemary Hallgarten’s alpaca Stonehenge rug, a cloud-like setting for the seating group composed of a pair of vintage 1968 chrome-plated steel Zeta lounge chairs by Paul Tuttle, a Marcel Wanders’ Crochet chair, and also a modern sofa designed by Robert Couturier.

The contemporary dining room features modern furniture pieces like the round Leaf table by Joris Laarman and Lola chairs by Poltrona Frau. Inside the same space, there is a sculpture by Pascal Haudressy, with its creamy orbs of white Carrera marble standing out against the rectilinear mullions and the skyscrapers beyond.

The study area is one of the most iconic spaces inside this luxury penthouse. Robert Couturier decorated it with a lively play of patterns. The canary yellow trestle desk by Alessandro Albrizzi is, without any doubt, one of the most remarkable pieces: such a marvelous furniture piece with a unique design!
